ANCHORAGE, ALASKA- The Fairbanks Ice Dogs fell in both games last weekend, falling to the Wolverines 6-3 on Friday and 5-3 on Saturday.  The Dogs finish the season 5-6-1-0 against Anchorage, and the sweep puts the Dogs in danger of losing the Club-49 Cup.  The Dogs trail Anchorage by six points, with just six Cup game remaining for the Dogs (all against Kenai River).  The Wolverines have four remaining Club 49 Cup games (all against Kenai River).

The Dogs have also dropped to third place in the NAHL Midwest Division. Wisconsin leads the Midwest, followed by Minnesota, Fairbanks, Kenai River and Anchorage (tied for fourth place). The Dogs return to home ice this weekend, skating against the Brown Bears at the Dip.
