Ice Dogs beat Brown Bears 6-3

FAIRBANKS—The Fairbanks Ice Dogs held off a feisty Kenai River squad, downing the Brown Bears 6-3 on Friday night in the opener of a North American Hockey League series at the Soldotna Sports Center.

Goaltender Kevin Aldridge recorded 21 saves and six different players scored for Fairbanks, which improved its second-place record in the Midwest Division to 24-11-3.
