The Fairbanks Ice Dogs are proud to welcome the newest addition to our staff, Assistant Coach Nick Christenson!
Originally from Champlin, Minnesota, Nick brings 15 years of coaching experience at all levels of hockey. Prior to his coaching career, he played two seasons in the NAHL and at St. Mary’s University. In addition to his new role with the Ice Dogs, Nick serves as Director of Youth Academies at The Base Sports Performance in New Hope, Minnesota.
“We are super excited to have Nick joining the staff and our wonderful community,” said Ice Dogs General Manager Rob Proffitt. “He brings such a wealth of energy, passion, and work ethic to the rink every day.”
“I am thrilled to have Nick join our coaching staff for the upcoming season,” said Head Coach Dakota Bell. “His extensive knowledge and experience in the game, combined with his ability to connect with people, will help him be a valuable asset to Ice Dog Hockey. I am confident that Nick will contribute to the growth and advancement of our players to the next level and cannot wait to see all that he will help us accomplish this year!”
