FAIRBANKS—The Fairbanks Ice Dogs had chances to score but couldn’t find the back of the net in the first period of Friday night’s North American Hockey League game.

That all changed in the second period.

The Ice Dogs scored four times in the second period en route to an 8-3 win over the Johnstown (Pennsylvania) Tomahawks at the Big Dipper Ice Arena.
